The
company Igor Láník - Techservis Boskovice was established in Boskovice
(ca 40 km to the north of Brno) in 1991 and from the very beginning of its
existence the company has been concentrated on manufacture of auxiliary
materials for the foundry and metallurgical industry. The company began to
develop its business with four employees and the core business was represented
by the foundry coatings, lubricants and release agents for the foundries and
drop forge shops ceramic foam filters and refractory ceramic shaped products.
The
ceramic foam filters were manufactured at the beginning in two qualities only,
namely VUKOPOR® S for filtration of cast iron and non-ferrous
metal castings and VUKOPOR® A for filtration of aluminum
alloys. The technology of manufacture has been taken over originally from the
Research Institute of Ceramics in Rájec-Jestřebí and production volumes
amounted to some hundreds of thousand
filters annually. The complete production was intended in particular for the
foundries and aluminum works in the
former Czechoslovakia, in Poland and Germany. Strengthening of export to
the European markets as well as overseas led to continuously rising production
volumes, in particular of ceramic filters. The production range has been
extended by new filtration technologies, accompanied by manufacture of
filtration and transport shaped products, e.g. filtration carousels, ceramic
boxes and troughs.
In
2003 the headquarters moved to the new premises and manufacture of pressed
ceramics for precision casting was commenced. The product range has been
extended step by step by new filter models, VUKOPOR® LD for
filtration of aluminum castings, VUKOPOR® HT and VUKOPOR®
HTX for filtration of steel castings. A close cooperation with the company
Tribo-Chemie has been established in the sector of sale of lubricants and
release agents for die casting and drop forging.
In
2007 a number of large-scope investments was completed, thanks to which the
production volumes went up materially. Manufacture of ceramic foam filters has
been automated to a high extent and share of manual work of the majority of
implemented products has thus dropped steeply. During the last year as many as
40 million filters of different sizes were manufactured and the total turnover
of the company amounted to roughly EUR 15 million. On the other side,
production of coatings and lubricants was cut down step by strep and nowadays
it represents only a minor share of the total production volumes of the
company. The predominant part of the goods is intended for export to over 40
countries globally, for instance the EU member states, India, Russia, Israel,
USA, Turkey, Ukraine, Malaysia, Australia, Bahrain, Egypt and other countries.
Further
investments will be realized even in 2008, in particular with focus on
manufacture of new quality filters and pressed ceramics. The company has become
an important employer in the region and employs ca 200 people, mainly form the
Boskovice environs. Thanks to bold plans for the future the company LANIK is
considered the stable employer with long-time prospects of growth. Own in-house
development follows the global trends and develops continuous improvements with
focus on smart “intelligent” products facilitating hard work in foundries. At
the same time new projects, searching for the possibilities of application of
the foam ceramics in the petrochemical, automotive, food or building industry,
are being implemented. Manufacture of decorative interior luminaires (Eco-Design)
is the specific feature of the company.
